2. In Japan
According to a questionnaire for 20 year olds living in Kumamoto, almost all Japanese think leisure is an activity event in Japan. The Japanese people have many kinds of leisure, for example, camping, driving, sports, swimming in the sea, touring, BBQs. It is once a year or twice a year that students do leisure activities with their families. Once a week or once a month, they do activities with friends. Two thirds of the students like outdoors, and one third like indoor activities in Japan. The most popular leisure activities are driving, camping and swimming in the sea.
3. In US
According to questionnaires given to 20~50 year olds living in America, almost all US people think leisure means no work or free time. The US people have a lot of kinds of leisure activities, for example, picnic, driving, walking, swimming in the lake, sports, ice skating, BBQs, cooking, playing with pets, movies, reading a book, shopping. Once a week or once a month, they spend leisure time with their family. Once a week or once a month, they spend leisure time with friends. People who like outdoor activities and people who like outdoor and indoor activities are about the same. The most popular leisure activities vary depending on the person. For example some people like to make scrapbooks, some people like to ride boats and some people like picnics.
4. Conclusion
This paper found many important points about leisure in Minnesota and Kumamoto. First, some meanings of leisure are different. Japanese people think leisure is an activity but US people think leisure is free time by oneself. It is daily for Japanese people to watch television and take a nap in a house, and these are some of their favorite leisure activities. Leisure is not a special thing for US people.
Second, I talk about the kind of leisure. As the meaning of leisure itself is different from Japan to US, Japanese people have few kinds of leisure in comparison with US people. In addition, the Japanese picnic is different from that in the US. Japanese people bring a sheet and lunch box for a picnic but US people bring bigger sheets or big tables and chairs. Lunch is often a buffet at a US picnic and sometimes caterers may come.
Barbecues in the US and Japan are also different. The Japanese BBQ style is to bake meat on a net and eat. However, almost all US families have barbecue grills and US people bake, hamburgers, sausages and steaks on them, and they eat them with bread.[1] Barbecues are always done outside in the US, but often eaten inside.
Third, once or twice a year, they spend leisure time with their family in Japan. On the contrary, it is once a week or once a month that they spend leisure time with their family in US. However the difference of thought towards leisure is related to this. The American value of time for the family was easy to understand though this language training program. They find common hobbies and enjoy leisure with each other often. Some US families go walking and cycling together every week.
Fourth, two thirds of the students like outdoors, and one third like indoors in Japan. On the other hand, people who like outdoors and people who like both outdoors and indoors are about the same in the US. The data is not conclusive because these questionnaires were given to people different ages, but my impression is that US people enjoy many activities both indoors and outdoors regardless of age.
Finally, we can say though these things that there are some differences between English and Japanese English, and we need to change the way we understand some words like “leisure”. Second, there is a larger variety of activities in America and each family has more ways to enjoy holidays than I expected. Moreover, many families seem to put more emphasis on the value of families than families in Japan.

Do you know Kikuchi city? Kikuchi city has Shisui town, Shichizyou town, Kyokusi village and Kikuchi city. There are a lot of good place.
Shisui town has many hot spring and a Koushi park. Kousi is Chinese thinker. It is like a god now.
Shichizyou town has a lot of hot spring and a dome of melon. It's dome is shopping place of farm products. My friend's father made TOMAPI. TOMAPI is uniting tomato and bell pepper.
Kyokusi village has beautiful source. Kikuchi city has beautiful stream and ravine. I like their good place.
There mountain give us nature water. It is good for health, beauty and mind. Stream make us relax. There town has a lot of old person.
Old person likes hot spring.They can refresh anytime.
Do you know farm products and food of kikuchi. For example, Yakon, rice, melon, milk and a lot of vegetable. Yakon is very famous food of Kikuchi. It is like a potato or Japaneses radish.
We like delicious food. Their is not only delicious but also healthy. We can know mother's taste and dainty.

This story's important character is Merlin Magician and King Arthur. It is the year 650 in England. There is no king and people are fighting. One day, The Merlin Magician think, we need wonderful king. Merlin makes a magic stone. He puts sword in it. Only the true king can pull out the sword. Many people can't put sword in it. But one boy can pull in it. People said “Our new king!! Arthur!!" And people very glad. However, Arthur is confused. He thinks “I don't know how to be king." Suddenly, The Merlin comes front Arthur. Merlin said " Don't be afraid, Arthur! With my help you can be king." Merlin teaches every day, and after four years Arthur is a strong, good king. Time passed, Arthur married and fined a new king who is the strongest in all England. And people very happy because they have a lots of food and eat. There is no more fighting because there is strong king. However, one night, two bad person comes Arthur's castle. Two bad person divides the Arthur and new strong king.
I want to tell you every things, but I know that you can enjoy more if you read this book by yourself. Pleaser read this book. You will shed a little tears.

My Minnesota trip 1
22 July
We headed for Hukuoka air port by bus. Suddenly Keiko said “ Oh no!! I forgot key of my suitcase.” And she called her mother. We arrived Hukuoka air port. And her father came with her key of suitcase. She could get key.

We arrived at Minnesota. We were very happy but we were very tired because we couldn’t sleep and air plane is very cold.
I met my host family. Shannon and Susan are very kind for me. Abigail is very cute baby!! We ate lunch at Mexican restaurant with Ayao and Veronica.
Pm 6:00 We went to park And I talked about Japanese culture and Origami.
I enjoyed but I had to go home because I got sick.
23 July
I got up early at am 3:00. I had jet lag and little cold yet.
Pm 5:25 I had lunch with Ayako and Yugon. So we chatted a long time. We noticed nobody at café. We lost at Bethel University but We had to ride on river boat.
We asked staff “Where is exchange students class??” But staff couldn’t understand. And
Staff took us office room of Chinese professor. We were though Chinese by staff.
Chinese professor was very kind for us. She called Joel and Lind. We could ride on river boat. Thank you, staff and professor!!
I really tired first day of University. Not only that trouble but also another trouble waiting me. I have to ride van to go back my house. But I couldn’t go back home because driver was took off me on the way. I asked to driver “I have to take off here??” Driver said “yes!!” I said “Really??” Driver said “Yes!!!!” I was obliged to take off van. Of course I was alone and nobody came there. I was waiting more than one hour. Then teacher came there. She and my host family looked for me. I could spend very exciting first day.

I'm rugby player
I have to get up early because I have to go ground of Nishigoshi to practice rugby. However I over sleep. I have to get ready to go. I arrive ground of Nishigoshi. There is nobody. Why??? Miss the place me?? I wait sometimes. Them some player come here. So everybody over seep. Player has to start practice hurry. I have to make water to break. We can good exercise. In Soumendaki??
Today is Saturday. But I’ m so sorry that I have class. I think, I can’t go practice of rugby because we always practice of rugby in ground of Nishigoushi. However we can practice of rugby in ground of University. That is so good for me!!! I can practice before class. We can practice in ground of University. However there is a lot of practice player of some sports. We have a little space. We can’t play enough. The hours move on. I have to go class. I study hard in my class. The class after I went to restaurant in University. There are player of rugby. Suddenly one player “today is too hot!! Let’s go Soumendaki!!” he said. We couldn’t understand. “ What is Soumendaki??” I said. “Soumendaki is pool. It is very nice place. Let’s go!! Come my car!! Hurry up!!” he said. We took in his car and go to Soumendaki. We arrived there. There is beautiful water. Water is very clear and shining blue. I was surprised. We touch the water. It is so cold but very comfortable. We can swim. We can jump in to the pool from very high on the tree. But I couldn’t. I’m very afraid. I like swim only. The sun sets. We have to go home. I was very tired. I slept soon when I was arrived home. I had good time with player. By the way I am like a boy. It’s ok!!! I am powerful girl.

In Jeff's Bar
I went to Jeff’s Bar with my friend. I felt a little tension but there is good place. I met my senior of University. I talked my senior or Japanese friends. I though, I want to speak English to a lot of person. And then, my friend talks to me who is over sea student. I tried speak in English. Next a man talks to me. He is British. His name is Tony. His work is teacher? Of Tokyo electron company. His hobbies are rugby and deer hunting. He showed me picture of got deer. He eats deer. I think, I want to try eat but just thinking. He gave me paper of writing his address. “Please give me mail” he said. “Ok!! I am going to sent mail when I come back home.” However I lost that paper. I’ m so sorry. I can’t send mail but I will meet when I go Jeff’s Bar.
I talked stuff of bar. She is student of Kumamoto Gakuen University. Her name is aki. She is very cute. And her figure is good. I envy her figure. I thought, I have to some exercise. She is very kindly everybody. I want to be her. And she can speak English very well. I went to Jeff’s bar first time. I can study English there. I remember some words. For example, troublesome!! I always say troublesome. I can say it in English from now on. That is cool. Hehehe. I made friends in Korean. His name is Chinkensai?? But he calls me ken because Chingensai is vegetable in Japan. I think, he is very funny boy and his friends funny too. I had good time there. After I went to karaoke with my friend Mana. Mana’ s voice very good. She is good singer in karaoke. I was moved to yell by her singing. However we have to go home and sleep because I have class tomorrow. We come back home soon. I had good time. Thank you everybody.

I thought
I think about me. What do I do? Do I have dream?? What I want to do?? What I have to do?? I have not dream. I want to go foreign countries. I don’t know that I have to do. I want to free but this is now. I try everything that my interesting things.
I have a lot of hobbies. However those are hobbies. I have to try that I never try things. Do you have dream?? Do you think that any kind of work becomes me? I want to be a cosmopolitan but that is very difficult for me. I was president when I was high school student. So I could try big work. Now, I don’t have power. However I never give up. I am going to go US. I will change. I want to change. I want to be strong and beautiful woman. Please look at me who come back. I am not afraid.
And I become a kind. I help my mother. My mother is very busy. Her job is nurse and housework. I don’t have father. He died when I was nine yeas old. So, my mother very hard everyday. I respect her and I like her. I have to help her and I work to save money. I want to a lot of skill but it cost money. I will big person if I can them.

Book review 1-15
I recommend this book. This is about a little girl and her mother. A little girl and her mother are very poor. They have no money. And they're very hungry. The little girl says everyday "I'm hungry, hungry, hungry." But there's no food in the house. One day, "Oh, I'm hungry, hungry, hungry! I want something to eat!" cries the little girl. The little girl sits down and cries. But an old woman is standing front of a little girl. An old, old woman "Don't cry!" she says. But a little girl does not stop cry because a little girl is hungry. "Don't cry" says old woman again. "Look! You can have this. It is a magic cooking pot." says old woman. The old woman shakes her stick. And "Cook, little pot, cook!" says the old woman. The pot cooks nice hot porridge. "Oh! Oh! Oh!" says the girl. Next "stop, little pot, stop! says the old woman. The pot stops. It is nice porridge in pot. The old woman gives the pot to a little girl. The girl runs home with magical pot. The little girl talks to her mother about magical pot. They are full everyday for magical pot's porridge. one day, her mother hungry when she is alone in house. She says "Cook, little pot, cook!" The pot cooks but doesn't stop cooking. She forgets spell to stop the pot. How do you think next?? I know ...but I don't say. Please read this book. By the way I'm hungry now. I want to eat porridge. I want the magical pot.
